October, November, and early December are some of the best fishing times in Steinhatchee of the year ; the flats are full of redfish and trout. The cobia are migrating through, but they will soon be leaving in early November.

The scallops are plentiful this year!

We are having an amazing season getting our limit on almost every trip . The season ends Labor Day so there’s only seven weeks left book your trip while you can. There are still plenty availability in August.

Springtime fishing in Steinhatchee

The trout bite in February was great and will only get better in the upcoming months! The big trout move in close to spawn and the redfish will be out on the flats. March, April and May are excellent months for planning your springtime fishing trip !

It was a slow day on the flats but Captain Frank knew right where to go to get us on fish. Others we talked to were skunked, but we were able to get 4 trout and one red drum in the boat as well as missed fish. A great trip!!
