Rocky Creek Charters
Steinhatchee is famous for its prolific inshore waters, so why not come explore them alongside a captain who’s been fishing them for over 2 decades? Captain Frank Taylor Jr, an experienced angler and the man behind Rocky Creek Charters, runs a variety of exciting fishing and Scalloping trips in this area.
Whether you’re looking to hook a huge Bull Red, or want to introduce your little ones to the water, Capt. Frank has the perfect adventure for you. Grab up to 3 of your friends and head out for a full day on these shallow waters, hooking mighty Redfish and tasty Speckled Trout. In the summertime, why not treat the family to a whole morning of exploring this fishery for fast-moving Scallops?
Capt. Frank has the years of experience needed to put you on fish, or to guide you to the best Scalloping spots in the area. Usually, it’ll take you about 10–20 minutes to get on fish, so you’ll have plenty of time to cast your line!
Your captain will take you out on board his 24’ Carolina Skiff, which is perfect for cruising seriously shallow waters. She’s decked out with top-quality navigational gear and life jackets for all ages, so you’ll have a secure and comfy journey to the hotspots. If you’re fishing, she can accommodate 4 guests. For Scallopers, 6 can come aboard, so bring the whole family!
As well as being an incredible Redfish and Speckled Trout fishery, Steinhatchee is also home to Cobia, Flounder, and Spanish Mackerel. If you’d like to hook these species, or target one in particular, just let your captain know, as his trips are flexible. Once you’ve reeled in your catch, he’ll help you arrange to have it cooked at a local restaurant. This is an additional cost.
Your captain will provide top-quality rods, reels, and tackle for you, as well as lures, live bait, and a valid fishing license for all guests. All you need to do is grab your favorite snacks and drinks, and a cooler for your catch. Join Rocky Creek Charters and cast off on an awesome inshore adventure!
