Captains Miguel & Nelson will put you on the fish! We booked a shorter offshore trip due to time restrictions but our captain was up for the challenge. We had no trouble finding the boat, we launched right on time, and they even stayed out late to ensure we got a fish on the line. My wife got seasick early on and they were more than accommodating - constantly checking if she needed anything and even slowed the boat down to make sure she was comfortable. We hooked into a massive bluefin tuna and I had a blast fighting the fish. They made sure I was comfortable with fighting the fish, and gave plenty of instruction along the way. They even made time to show us schools of dolphins along the way. 100/10 experience, can’t wait to come back and do it again! On a trip from the US and we found through Fishing Booker and glad we did. Took 3 of us out. Captain Miguel and Nelson were excellent! We took a 6-hr shark fishing trip. We caught one 3 meter blue shark that was gorgeous. It’s just what we were looking for. Very nice boat, covered cabin, and clean bathroom. They speak great English and are very knowledgeable. Dock is easy to find, but make sure you have WhatsApp as they text you the coordinates to find the right slip. Honestly, this was one of the best guided fishing trips we had been on. If I had another day in the Algarve, I would’ve tried to book another day and if we ever go back I would gladly book with them again. They come from a family of fisherman and they are very knowledgeable and just very cool people to talk to you and hang out with. Just for a background, this trip is great for experienced or non-experienced people. The two people I went with had no experience fishing. I have extensive fishing experience with trolling for salmon and bass fishing. My only gripe is that the shark was too big to bring into the boat. Maybe next time. Thank you guys!

We motored out for about an hour to a deep reef about 15 miles south of Alvor. The Danzela is a very comfortable vessel.  Captain Miguel gave very clear instructions on the jigging technique that we were going to use for red snapper. He worked very hard to put us on fish. While we were marking fish they didn’t seem interested in our offerings although we did manage to catch several small mackerel.  The Captain continued to move us around and changed the color of the lures. We were rewarded with two beautiful red snapper that put up quite a fight on fairly light spinning gear. The Captain was just as excited as we were that we caught our target species. He gave us a recommendation for a restaurant right at the marina who took our catch and prepared it for us that evening on the grill whole fish style. It was amazing. Overall fantastic experience with Captain Miguel and Nelson on the Danzela.
