First off the captain advertise in the ad Francisco is not your captain, he just takes your money put you on a boat with two other Dominican speaking Nationals that speak little to no English. They’re only equipped to fish top water, which normally would be fine. Most of the gear we could tell was heavily worn out, only one outrigger worked. No GPS and no fish finder. After 4 hours of fishing and not catching anything I asked to change things up, try different tactics but they... More

Good afternoon, Mr. Ryan, I am very sorry to hear that you did not catch anything, however the captain informed me that you fought a marlin for a few minutes. Our fishing technique is trolling, which means that our equipment is designed for that type of fishing. Our captains have a lot of fishing experience. and almost all the time we catch fish. You troll the whole time in rough seas. Not worth the time or money. The DR isn’t even worth visiting. It’s better to go somewhere else. After you finish you are harassed by the locals to buy something and your transportation guide purposely takes you through the market so everyone there can bug you to buy something. It is not an experience you want to deal with. Especially being out in the rough seas all day.
