Captain and crew were great to be with and they worked hard to put us on fish!  Successful day all around and will look them up next time!!!

Only landed one good sized ahi, but the dolphins won the day. Beautiful day on the water and wasn’t for a lack of effort.

Hopper and Jay were amazing! From start to finish they are on their A game! Cooler loaded with ice, a quick stop a little ways out for fresh bait, and then out to catch the monsters. They don’t stop til they find the honeyhole of the day. Taking some serious freshwater fisherman out and making it the fishing trip of a lifetime is a tall order and they overfilled it! It was the best experience and they set the bar high and have us looking at dates to come back and we would pick them over and over, no need to look elsewhere! They made our trip and memories that will last a lifetime. LEGENDARY DAY!

To start, I spent many hours researching charter captains due to hearing that Oahu can be tough fishing conditions. I settled on Grand Slam because the vessel was large so I knew it would be comfortable in challenging seas and I noticed the Capt had a long history of success in the fishing industry, including tournaments!

The highlights……
Upon booking with grand slam, the Capt was extremely responsive to ALL my emails with questions.
The boat is immaculate. Everything is white glove clean!
The gear is the best that money can buy.
The bait was all extremely fresh and prerigged so as soon as we left the harbor, we were FISHING.
Most importantly, the 1st mate was the best 1st mate I have ever had the pleasure of fishing with. I have fish all over North America and have NEVER seen a mate work as hard as he did. He never stopped moving and was set on making sure we were connecting with fish.

All in all this was one of the best charter experiences I have ever had. I am happy because next time I’m on Oahu there is only one boat and Capt I need to call for a booking.
