We hire Captain Drew Cavanaugh every time we come to Florida and have yet to be let down. He is local and been doing this for over 20 years now. Drew is one of the original charter boat captains in the New Smyrna Beach Ponce Inlet area I started to fish with 15 years ago. We go with him at least once a year, mostly tarpon but at times offshore or with his backcountry flats business. Don’t be fooled by other captains that are part time or weekend guides. I have fished with Captain Drew many times over the past several years. He is by far the number one captain in New Smyrna Beach, class act. Professional.  We either do a nearshore tarpon charter from his other guide business in New Smyrna Beach or do a backcountry sight fishing charter with this one on the Mosquito Lagoon. We always have a great day no matter which one we do.
