We use various methods when fishing for different types of fish, depending on the season, daily weather and fishing conditions, angler experience and type of charter booked.
This charter was upgraded to an 8 hr offshore islands fishing trip. Our target was yellowtail and rockfish, not tuna. As always, this was discussed with the charter prior to departure.
We do provide fish cleaning service as part of our charters, however the option to utilize outside services is always available. Experienced anglers are welcome to clean the fish themselves, as well.  In this case, our crew cleaned, bagged and vacuum sealed over 35 fish, including barracuda, sculpin, bass, and rockfish.

I feel terrible that your son was disappointed with our interaction. All of your sons seemed very capable and happy to be offshore.  My goal is always to provide a good experience and put fish on the deck.
My records indicate that it was a clear and beautiful day on the water with calm seas, we caught quality fish early and returned home safely, on schedule.
Clearly there was miscommunication on my end.
