Ok this review needs to be addressed.  One of your group grabbed a rod full of treble hooks DIRECTLY on the hooks so I asked him to let it go.  Instead of letting it go he started to wave it to the other side of the boat so I sternly say to drop it.  I did not yell.  My main job while taking you into the ocean is to keep you safe.  If someone gets hurt on any charter boat, of course insurance will cover it.  I never said it wouldn’t.  What I said was “my insurance policy does not allow customers to bait treble hooks.”  You can bait the normal hooks all you would like and I have no problem with that. 

As for swapping the rods back and forth, the baits stay on the surface to freely swim back and forth on their own.  If you do not allow them to do this, the lines will simply tangle up and you will not catch fish.  So of COURSE you need to move the rods back and forth when this happens.  That happens on every single boat that is fishing for King and Spanish Mackerel.  According to my logs, we caught plenty of big Spanish, lost 4 Spanish that simply didn’t get on the hook, and also lost two big king mackerel as well.  We also caught live bait on the way out along with every single other charter on Hilton head, bluffton, Savannah, and tybee; every single charter boat. 

As for the double booking, yes, my wife made a minor mistake in the booking process (her only mistake for the entire year I might add).  However, we gave the option to stay the same day or allow you to go the next day.  You chose to move. And just FYI, if you had not moved to the day you did, we would not have been able to go into the ocean due to high winds. 

I kept your group safe and secure, I put you on fish, we came home with dinner, you shook my hand at the end of the trip and thanked me for a good time and you gave me a tip as well.  To be honest, I was pretty shocked to see this review from your trip.  I would ask that you reconsider this assessment and review but you seem to have your mind made up. 

I wish you safe and happy fishing in the future with lots of tight lines.
