I can’t say enough great things about our experience.  6 of us went out for the 12 hour trip and had the whole ocean to ourselves.  We were the only ones hunting the elusive bluefin and we managed to land a handful.  We all enjoyed the trip and are looking forward to booking again in the future!

From the time I broke the trip Captain Ray’s was professional and friendly. when we got to the dock Captain Ray and his team were very helpful and friendly as well made us feel right at ease. We went out fishing the 12 hour trip it started off very slow . Found lots of kelp patties but not much fish on them. They worked very very hard to get us on the fish later in the day we had a blast. All four of us caught fish. We got into some good fish and they went above and beyond and out of the way to make this happen. Just want to say thank you to Captain Ray and his crew of The Wild Goose for a memorable trip.

Captain Ray and his assistant Trevor are a hell of a team. I booked a half day out to the Coronado islands to target yellowtail for my buddies bachelor party weekend. Captain Ray is incredibly laid back and skilled in his profession. His boat is in pristine condition and outfitted with everything you’ll need to land a ton of fish. We were a Saturday trip and the islands were very busy, but it really seemed like we were the only ones catching yellowtail. Captain Ray has a great instinct for finding the bite and is lightning fast on getting all lines in the water to capitalize on these fleeting moments. We hooked at least 8 yellowtail within a couple hours and landed 4(be prepared to be snaked by some savvy sea lions!). Overall our experience was incredible and couldn’t have happened without the guidance and service of Captain Ray and Trevor l. Would absolutely recommend to others, and will be Re-booking with Captain Ray for future excursions. 5 stars across the board.

Great trip with a great crew. Captain Ray will go above and beyond to try and put you on fish. Fishing was a little slow all day but Ray kept us moving and looking. Finally found and caught of yellow fin. End of the trip we were running a little late back to the dock and still in Mexico. Ray stops again to give us another chance and we get into a blue fin. Ray and his crew coached my two nephews for over an hour. The final result was a landed 88lb blue fin in a spinning rod! Light tackle magic that I don’t think any of us will forget, especially my two nephews. We put it on them to land that fish, and after all the coaching from the crew and a broken gaff the fish was in the boat. If you have a small group and want first class service then Captain Ray and the Wild Goose are your boat. I can’t tell you when I’ll be able to do this trip again, but I can tell you it will be with Ray! Thanks again guys we had a blast!
