Managed to get a smaller bluefin around 50 pounds and a 105 pound beauty of a yellowfin. Most importantly, Ben is absolutely amazing as a captain and was committed to making this what turned out to be a fantastic, beyond memorable experience. If you are looking for a crew that’s friendly, down to earth, and knowledgeable with where the fish are at, then look no further!

Capt. Ben was great! He texted us in advance to let us know the details of the trip. Capt. Ben knew where the big Stripers were and we had a blast. First, we caught our share of Sea Bass and then on to the big boys. We caught something on every drift!  Amazing!

Chartered a trip with Ben this past summer which was nothing short of incredible. Left in the dark and started fishing at first light. Had 20+ BFTs from the 20-40lbs range on the troll only keeping out limit. Late morning we left the rest of the fleet and found top water feeds all to ourselves jigging up an 80-90lbs class fish. Ben worked extremely hard. I would recommend Push the Limit to anyone looking to bass, bottom fish or head offshore - excited to get back out there this summer.

Captain Ben was professional and courteous! He worked diligently to navigate to successful drifts and gave us countless opportunities to reel in our catch! His passion for fishing shows! We caught Striped Bass, Porgy and Bluefish. When we visit Montauk again, he’s the captain we’re going to call!

Ben from Montauk to head offshore in search of bluefin tuna.  When we arrived at the spot for first light, the area was full of whales, porpoises, and birds everywhere.  It was clear that there was a lot of life around and we were excited about the prospect of catching some fish.  After trolling for a while with no luck, and watching a couple other boats in the area also catch no fish, Capt Ben suggested that we try dropping the diamond jig on some of the areas we were marking fish on the bottom.  Just like that, we started hooking up to bluefin on what seemed like every drift.  We caught many fish up to nearly 100# and were clearly the most successful boat in the area that day.  While other boats were drifting near us with no hook ups, Capt Ben managed to keep us on the exact drift that was producing bite after bite.  After we decided to head home with our limit of fish, Ben called in another captain and explained the drift.  As we were pulling away, we watched him hook up to his first fish of the day.  Clearly Capt. Ben is dialed in and a one of a kind captain.  On the way home, we stopped and caught a few mahi mahi just to make an epic day even better.
