Fished the Martucci party this morning group of 5. A nice mix of catch and release mutton snapper, ladyfish, jack crevelle along with croaker, sheepshead and pompano for the dinner table. These pompano are just starting to show up and will remain here thru April of next year. All fish today were caught with shrimp on trollrite jigs.

The last 2 trips with smaller groups aboard we had the opportunity to fish livebaits using a combination of croaker and greenies. Some snook and a nice tarpon release. Also fishing with shrimp we are still catching some croaker and snappers.

Snook season has opened up here on the Treasure Coast and will remain open thru December 14th. Regulations remain the same with one fish per person with a 28-32" slot. Snook and tripletail charters are up to 3 anglers with all other species targeted are good up to 6 people.

Congratulations to Mark Johnson from Vero Beach becoming Catch 22's newest member of our 20lb tripletail club. We target tripletail pretty much all year. Similar to livebaiting for snook, ideally its a 2 person maximum on these trips. Tripletail are one of the best table fare fish on the planet.

Fished this morning with Fred Hepper from Bernardsville, N.J and Mark Johnson from Vero Beach again on our first snook trip of the season. These guys fished with me a few weeks ago catching 3 nice tripletail. Today while livebaiting with greenies they went 3 for 3 on snook keeping one in the 28-32 " slot.

As we head into springtime, the tripletail bite along the Treasure Coast picks up nicely. In the past month we have caught some decent size tripletail on our half and 3/4 day trips. This bite only gets better as we head into the summer months.
