Both scenic and fun.  Was a very good day with Brandon as guide.

A positive experience!  JJ was great with communication.  Called me day prior to trip to finalize details and let me know who would be our guide for our trip (Matt) and when we’d be picked up - yes if you’re staying in Cooper Landing, they’ll pick you up!

Matt was very prompt and picked us up right at the time we were told to be ready.  Everything was very clearly described to us.  Our group was small which was very nice - one of the reasons I booked the trip.  We had our guide Matt, myself, my friend, and 2 other guests.

Matt got us set up in just the right spot, taught us some techniques (we were fishing sockeye) and was always happy to answer any questions.  He observed us and came over to suggest/teach technique which helped to maximize our chances of hooking a sockeye.  I am/was a total beginner to sockeye.  So when it came to casting, swing, set, etc, he really helped everyone out.

Matt was on point once someone hooked a fish, providing more instruction on what to do to get that fish in so he could get it in the net.  Some got away, the nature of fishing, but our group did come away with lots of fish.

Matt was very professional, and he demonstrated a strong passion for fishing, and the river and wilderness in general.  Overall it was truly a great experience and I learned a lot during the trip.  Best of all was cooking up some freshly caught fish that night!
