When I was in my 20’s I lived and worked in Boca Grande.  This was my first time back in 30 years to pursue the Silver Kings of the Pass. It was really special to share this part of my history with my wife, son and daughter.  We picked Boca Grande and Beyond largely based on these reviews.  Capt. Dylan asked if we could get an earlier start to take advantage of the bite.  I am glad we did. We got some stunning photos with the sunrise.  The Capt. was very knowledgeable.  I learned that the Penn Internationals with the Dacron line, wire leaders and throw-weights of the 90’s is not the way things are done now.  One detail from the past that Capt. Dylan used successfully on the spinning gear was to mark the braided line at 40 feet with a black marker.  (We used to use red and green yarn spliced in the dacron)  This allows the angler to know how deep the bait is in the water column.  Dylan was really good at instructing us to keep the bait close to the bottom using the mark without a lot of false hits on our drifts.  This was extremely important as we had varying winds, currents and rough seas at the beginning of our trip. Very nice bay boat.  I would not hesitate to use Boca Grande and Beyond again.

The boat is perfect for the area, clean and all the equipment works. He knows exactly where to navigate and it isnt easy in this area because of the shallows

And most important he did everything - rigged all equipment, baited all hooks, and removed all fish. We only had to fish and Dylan did all the work. There was 4 of us on the boat so we kept this young man busy
