Unbeknownst to me, I had used Good Hit Fishing a few years ago when my cousin was in town.

I realized this as I received communication the day before on where to park and what dock our boat would be on and saw our previous text thread. We had a killer time that day so I was excited for what Saturday’s fishing day was going to be.

The weather was PERFECT. Super calm and flat and just the right amount of sunshine. We were greeted with Captain Ran and we were off at 8am for some fishing.

There was 3 adults and my 9yr old son fishing on Saturday. I was a little nervous as this was my son’s first time fishing on a boat and not just on a dock where he could come and go as he pleased. But Captain Ran took care of my hesitation. He let my son drive the boat through the no wake zone leading out to the ocean and my son thought that was the coolest. It was a great ride and we got to share our previous story of catching a sailfish and mahi and hoping for another go at it. We also learned more about Captain Ran too and some of his stories.

We hit our first trolling area and Captain Ran let out the rods. We were lucky to have a constant string of Bonito fish and had some good reeling! My son was super excited and we love the initial adrenaline of hearing a line run.

We also had 2 decent size barracuda and a big king fish we were able to have filet and take home to cook for lunch.

Captain Ran was very tentative to my son and teach him ways to hold the rod as well as pulling up and reeling down method. It was a great day and we look forward to booking another trip come November when the sailfish and mahi are running again.

Captain Adam is a very well rounded and knowledgeable Captain also thorough with walking us thru everything…We went out current was super strong in fishing grounds made a move to another spot less current tossed out deadline on bottom and 2 live bait rigs on surface .. Seeweed was heavy at times he cleared the lines and tossed back out had a Sailfish on fought for 25 min he guided us through every step with being safe in mind and we landed a beautiful Sailfish for the first fish of afternoon trip.. we Reset lines no action so decided to troll got a couple other fish wife and daughter was happy also and I got a fish of a lifetime thanks Captain Adam

My son and I went on a charter on this vessel with Captain Pete and we had the time of our lives!  Every single expectation that we had was superseded in everything we did during our half-day semi-private charter.  Our captain Trolled, Set up kites, Drifted and anchored to do everything he possibly could to put us on the meat and he did exactly that.  My 14 year-old son landed an 86 inch sailfish in which he was on the rail reeling for at least a half an hour as Captain Pete coached him, maneuvered the boat properly to ensure the line was taught and landed this once in a lifetime trophy sailfish and we are forever grateful!  My son and I can’t wait for our next trip to Fort Lauderdale to book this charter again in the near future!  One last thing, we used live google eye bait fish at my request for live bait and I suggest doing the same!

Mike was such an amazing Captain and very knowledgeable. It was just my 15yr old nephew and myself. We’ve both never been saltwater fishing more less nearshore but he was so kind and patient with us both. We even caught a 7.5-8ft Great Hammerhead shark! It was such a special moment for us and a memory that will last our lifetime. Thank you so much Mike and Good Hit Sportfishing 2.0!

Captain Pete is the real deal! We had an unforgettable trip and brought in both sailfish and mahi-mahi thanks to his nonstop effort and expertise. He worked incredibly hard all day, adjusting baits, watching conditions, and putting us right where the fish were.
