What an absolutely epic day on the water with Good Hit Sport Fishing! It started bizarrely: a massive swarm of calico crabs drifted past, which our clients quickly scooped into the live well—a "crab bonanza" ready for action. Then, things got spooky. We heard a loud sloshing and churning, thinking it was a school of tarpon. As the commotion came into casting range, the truth hit us like a tidal wave: It was a huge school of Permit, feeding in a surface frenzy! In a flash, we tossed our freshly caught calico crabs into the frothing water. The instant they hit the surface, we were HOOKED UP! The first fish was a 25lb Permit, leading a client on a grueling, 20-minute battle. We tagged and released that beauty, and immediately hooked and landed another one.
