We had 13 fish on and landed 9. The first fish was an early arriving Coho Salmon from the open waters of Lake Michigan staging for an autumn spawning run up into one of the tributary streams. The second fish was an early arriving Chinook (King) Salmon. The remaining fish were chunky Lake Trout. Twice we had two fish on simultaneously. The fillets from those 9 fish weighed 24 lbs.

Craig and Jonathan made today’s early morning fishing charter a fun adventure for my son, his grandfather, and me.

This trip was the highlight of our weeklong Traverse City vacation.  Three kids, three adults, three generations.  We all caught nice trout and enjoyed a couple of fine meal.  Adam and Benny were excellent mentors to the kids (and to us ignorant   old geezers).  Their knowledge, equipment, and professionalism was deeply appreciated.

First time fishing for my sister, brother-in-law and nephew all from Pittsburgh, PA.  The Captain and his 1st Mate walked them through the fishing experience professionally with patience and positive reinforcement. It was a successful trip limiting out on lake trout and in summary a positive family experience. They definitely want to do it again with Mega Bite.  Special thanks from STEELER FANS!

We had a great time with the team from Mega Bite Charters.  It only did we catch our limit in under 2 hours, they also shared their knowledge of some River fishing spots with my sons. They were very helpful in all aspects of our trip, and would recommend them to anyone. Great job, and we’ll be looking for them when we come up to Traverse City again!
