Eric was a blast to fish with.  We had a great time and would not hesitate to book again.

Eric and Matt, of Deep Blue, run a first class operation, they are prompt, helpful, and just great guys to spend a day on the water with.  I’ve caught fish with them every time I’ve been on the boat, but that was only half the fun.  While fishing with Eric and Matt you will immediately notice two things:
1) They are incredibly knowledgeable and experienced
2) They absolutely love and enjoy what they do

I can’t wait to get back out on the water with you guys!

Overall, the boat itself was well maintained but for our future trips in the area we will be going with another captain. We totally understand that not every time you go out you are going to catch something, but you should at least be able to walk away saying you had a great time. In this instance we just were not thrilled with the experience.
Reasoning:
We have gone on plenty of fishing trips, a few booked through fishing booker. This was the first trip where the captain didn’t really try to interact with us.. he didn’t even ask what we were wanting to fish for. The bf tried to interact, but we eventually settled on the silence. The one fish we did get to try and reel in broke the line so that was super disappointing. Stayed in the same area for the entire 4 hours. We did troll for a bit at the end. In the four hours we were on the boat we touched the rod all of 3 times. In previous experiences with other captains, we moved around if we didn’t catch anything within the first hour or so. It would have been nice to move locations. Not sure why we didn’t this time. And finally, most captains do their best to make sure you still have fun on the trip even if nothing is biting. This captain did not. We ended up feeling like we were on an overpaid boat tour honestly. I do feel like I kind of threw away my money.
