Good: Equipment was fine. We did catch +-10 barracudas and Sierra mackerel in good size while trolling a few km out. In the end we were allowed to take one nice fish with us and have it prepared in a restaurant.
Not so good: Barely any communication between captain and guests, as he was alway just inside the cabin on the phone and did not bother to even properly introduce himseld. I had to ask before I was offered sth to drink, the captain did not really allow guests to do anything besides reel in fish. I’m quite an experienced angler, but my wishes were ignored most of the time. I know it was a shared charter, but also there wasn’t anything explained for the other (not so experienced) guests.it would have been nice for them to have a proper look at the fish they were catching… But… No-one was asked whether they’d like to take a picture with the fish or anything. It was just quickly gaffing the fish, then killing it and throwing it in the icer. It seemed like the captain was just trying to get the rods out again quick and not “waste” any time with the fish or photos and take home as many fish as possible. We werent even asked if we’d like to release them. It was more like being a guest watching other ppl fish and not so much fishing ourselves

If you’re a beginner and you’d like to get feeling of what fishing feels like or how a fish feels on the line then it’s fine. If you want more than that, or fishthe style of your choice, you need to book the private charter
