- Background
- After 11 years in the Coast Guard and starting a charter business in Kodiak, Ak, I was ready to make my dream become a reality. I left the Coast Guard and started a full time charter business and B&B. I've had a passion for fishing for as long as I can remember. I truly enjoy sharing what I love to do with my clients and providing them with the best Alaskan Adventure.
- Techniques
- My preferred method of catching halibut is drifting and bouncing bait off the bottom of the ocean. A lot of times this way of fishing will provide a lot of action as well as produce big fish. My other favorite type of fishing is going out long distances to remote rock piles and bouncing jigs on and around the rock pile. This method will provide anglers with a variety of fish to include halibut, rockfish and lingcod. Trolling for salmon is another favorite of mine. I generally troll about 3 knots and run any where between 45 to 90 feet deep. This method will produce great results when targeting kings and silvers.
