We had scheduled a full day trip with Captain Brad, but the weather cut us down to 3/4 day. We had a great time catching dolphinfish! First mate Nick and his mate in training, Parker, worked hard and were great at answering all the questions we kept throwing at them throughout the trip.  Looking forward to coming down and doing it again!  And be sure to try out any recommendations they give you for where to have a restaurant cook up your fresh catch! Captain Brad and Mick are knowledgeable and very competent. The fish were biting on this day and we limited on Mahi and also landed 2 nice Sails.

From a client perspective I thought that both Captain Brad and Mick could have been more personable and communicated better. It would be helpful to know what we are doing, what type of fish we were targeting at different points in the day. Mick should communicate a bit more with clients as to what some expectations are and developing a bit of a rapport with clients would go a long way for a tipped employee. Instead of barking out commands after the fact. It would definitely makes the experience more enjoyable.

We had an outstanding day of fishing with Southpaw Charters. Capt Brad put us on the fish and Mitch was an excellent mate (Parker was a good mate in training as well!). The Southpaw is made for fishing - no bells and whistles but a HUGE cockpit, very large covered amidship rest area and very seaworthy - just what we were looking for. When we head back to Key West we will absolutely charter Southpaw again. Thanks again Capt Brad and Mitch!

We had a great 4 hr morning trip with Captain Brad and Mick. Caught a lot of fish including yellowtail snapper, mackerel, barracuda, bonita and cero. Had so much fun and they worked very hard to find us fish and also learned so much about salt water fishing. Mick recommended a restaurant that would cook our fish and they did not disappoint.. was fabulous!! They were both so knowledgable and we would most definitely use them again.

Captain Brad and Mick are all business and first rate! They worked their tails off to get us on the fish and keep us there. They were sending lines out as fast as we could bring in fish. Started the day off early with a Sailfish! Filled the boat with Yellow Tail, Kings, Jacks, Ceros and even hauled up a hammerhead! The boat was impeccable and spotless and the crew was top notch. I have already recommended them to family and friends and it’s the same day!
