Captain Brad and Mate Josh were great with us and the 2 kids we brought along. My girls are 3 and 7 and loved the trip. We caught a ton of fish (mostly small that were returned) and got to even reel in a few large ones for dinner. It was our second day fishing on the Southpaw fishing with Capt. Brad Simonds and after a great first day, the second day was even better. We were on fish the entire day, both trolling and bottom fishing. Two of us had over 60 lbs of filets to take back home and there will be numerous fish fries this summer. We caught Mahi, Black Grouper, Red Grouper, Yellow Tale and Mutton Snapper just to name some of the different species we brought home. Truly incredible day!

In addition to catching fish you want to have a great captain and crew.  The Southpaw was all that and more.  Having a captain with so much experience is definitely worth it.  For us this was a family outing and everyone had fun.  Seeing my ten year old enjoy every send of the trip was priceless.  Highly recommend!

Captain Brad is a Professional Fisherman, fishing reports were not good before we left Key West, but we were on fish all day long and his mate, Dennis, made sure we caught plenty of mahi, one of my favorite fish to eat, and snappers to take home as well as other species that were released.
