- Captain Eric has had a passion for fishing since he was just 3 years old. His grandfather was a resort owner and world record holder for Brown trout on the famed white river in Arkansas and he had a huge impact on Captain Eric. Some of Captain Eric's most vivid memories as a kid were spending time with his grandfather on the river. Captain Eric was just 10 when his grandfather passed away, and he had no idea that he was going to follow in his footsteps. You truly never know in what ways you may have an influence on children. Growing up, he would plant himself in front of the television with all his fishing gear and watch fishing shows. He used to dream of hoisting a big trophy on the National stage. In 2019, he fulfilled his dream happened by holding the trophy in the FLW Costa Series event on Table Rock Lake! He felt as his grandfather was with him that day!
- Techniques
- Captain Eric's preferred style of fishing is considered to be "power" fishing. He loves to fish moving baits and cover a lot of water, but when fishing these deep clear lakes here in the Ozarks, you have to be proficient with light line and spinning rods.
