With direct hits from 2 major hurricanes in our rear view mirror, the fishing has finally gotten back to where it should be this time of year. Usually, "Red October " is when the redfish school up and start chewing heavily, but with the bay stirred up by Helen and Milton, the schooling was delayed. Finally, my favorite time of year is here!!! All of us local charter captains are hurting financially, so please hit your favorite guide up and enjoy a great day of fantastic fishing!!

With the destruction of hurricane Helene still all around us there's a way that you can help and have a great time doing so.!! Our area was hit incredibly hard and the only way we can get things fixed and back to normal is to get back on the water and take clients fishing!! Please reach out to our local Captains and book a charter!! This is the best time of year for fishing in our area and its sad to have no one scheduled to enjoy the great bite thats going on right now.

With very tough weather patterns to predict the key is being flexible with times and trusting your captain (who's on the water everyday) with last minute decisions on when to go out on each particular day!!! This time of year i try to block the whole day for my clients so we can go out when the weather and the tide is the best!! If you have flexibility in your schedule you can turn a day like today which was forecasted 40-60% showers all day by weather Channel into one of the best bites we've had this year so far !!! Trust your captain not the forecast!!!!
