My son just moved to the area by himself for a job and my other son and I came up to visit him and explore the area. I had no idea what was what in the area but knew we wanted to go fishing. I found Capt. Mike on this site and took a chance and booked it with no idea what we’d be doing. It could not have been a better trip. The communication before the trip was great, we got there a little early and they were ready to go.  Capt Mike and Derryl were super friendly and fun to spend time with. They knew exactly where the fish and we were hauling in some big Blue fish in minutes! Soo much fun!  On the way back in we stopped to fish for some smaller fish and caught some Porgy and other stuff.
I would highly recommend Capt Mike for a great charter. The three hour trip we did was perfect!  They made perfect use of the time and didn’t chince on anything. Thanks for a great trip. We’ll be back for sure!

Our father gifted us with this excursion out of Niantic, CT out to the Race and one of the lighthouses for this amazing fishing experience. Captain Mike and his first mate Derryl, both seasoned mariners, brought us out to the Long Island Sound that bore a LOT of fruit. I made sure to manage my family’s expectations that we weren’t going to catch anything. Luck was on our side that day as we landed 6 Blue Fish and 4 Striped Bass that we were able to take home to cook. BOY were they delicious.

Captain Mike and Derryl, were nothing but kind, courteous, generous, and had great respect for their craft.

We HIGHLY recommend booking this venture. Even lady lucky doesn’t shine on the line you’ll have a great time with Captain Mike.

Captain Mike and his 1st Mate, Daryll made this experience next level.  My sons and I had never been fishing in the sea before, and our 1st experience was spectacular.
It was very personal and they made us feel like our happiness was the most important thing to them.  They gave us all kind if fun facts—not only about fishing, but about the surrounding islands, other boats, history of the area, and mechanics of the sea.  It was truly an amazing trip. 
After we caught several stripers and blues, Daryll fileted them for us, and sent us with bags of fresh fish on ice.  I can’t imagine we would have had such an experience elsewhere.  We will certainly be back, and I wouldn’t trust another outfit could top Captain Mike, Daryll, and the Green Eyed Lady.

My dad was visiting from New Mexico and is an avid fisherman on fresh water lakes. I wanted him to have a fun saltwater fishing experience and Captain Mike & his first mate Derryl delivered! Never a dull moment on the boat, constantly catching fish and sand sharks. The boat was nice and had everything we needed. Captain Mike and Derryl were great company. I will be booking another trip when my dad visits!

Captain Mike and his first mate Daryl were so professional and made our experience the best! We live on a lake and fish all the time but had no real experience on the ocean. Really it was like fishing with friends and teachers. They took the time and helped us understand the how it was different. We caught about 30 fish and 5 different species. And they didn’t waste time on finding them and showing us how to catch them. Boat ride was awesome beautiful views of the lighthouses. We never felt uncomfortable or unsafe. Thanks to Captain Mile and Daryl!!! Loved it.
