I took my son (11 y/o) on a 3 hour afternoon trip with Capt Mike. We were scheduled to go the week prior but trip got cancelled due to weather (hurricane Ian),but Capt Mike was very accommodating with the rescheduling.
We started out fishing for porgies and sea bass. Capt mike had us on the fish in no time and we were successful at catching both fish in numbers while having a good time.
After some time had passed Capt Mike suggested we go out to the “Race” and try catching some blues and stripers on the drift.  Needless to say (see pics), the Capt had us on the big fish in no time and the fun continued.
Capt Mike was great with teaching my son some tricks and techniques.
My son and I have done numerous charters but this was our most memorable by far.
If your looking for an experienced Capt who knows his craft look no further.

I scheduled this fishing trip as a surprise birthday present for my fiance, and it was one of the most fun days we’ve had in a while! Mike was so kind and knowledgable, and I couldn’t imagine a better guide on this trip. My fiance and I are both novice fishers, and Mike did an excellent job of walking us through what to do and how to successfully fish. He had everything ready for us, so all we had to do was show up. Mike also took awesome pictures of us and our catches, which is a fun keepsake to have. 10/10 experience, and we can’t wait to schedule another trip with him! My sons gifted their dad with a fishing trip & it far exceeded everyone’s expectations !! Both boys caught 8 fish each. Captain Mike was awesome with the boys (age 17 & 13) I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Captain Mike ! Definitely worth it & would do this again. What an awesome day!!!!!

We had an awesome day fishing on Oct 28, 2023 with Captain Mike Smith. Both Captain Mike and his First Mate Derryl made the day a lot of fun. We caught lots of fish, and our guides couldn’t of been more accommodating. Also Captain Mike has a great play list of tunes we enjoyed listening to while we just killed it catching Tog and Porgies. Highly recommend Captain Mike if you want to catch fish and more importantly have a fun!

Captain Mike brought my wife, 6 year old son and I out for a half day morning trip. We had high expectations seeing the past reviews but Captain Mike exceeded them all! We were fortunate to have absolutely beautiful weather and Captain Mike made the day that much better by finding the fish and keeping us on them. He was so attentive to our son, keeping him engaged and excited about all the fish he was catching. Captain Mike was extremely knowledgeable and kind and I would recommend him to anyone looking to make a life long memory with their family.
