We had the best trip with Captain Jim and Mickey! For some of us it was the first time doing a charter and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. They were both super informative, explained everything they were doing and answered any questions we had. Before we caught our fish they had the music cranking making sure we were still having a good time. Best part of all we caught 2 marlin, and 2 mahi-mahi.  After the trip Captain Jim hooked us up with his family restaurant and we took our fish there to be prepared. Pancho and Lefty’s Cantina made our fish into a great Mexican meal with delicious drinks. I definitely recommend the Pina Colada’s 🍍If we are lucky enough to come back will definitely do this charter again but next time for the whole day!!! Mahalo Captain Jim and Mickey 🤩

Today we set sale for a deep sea fishing trip with Captain Jim and Mikey. They were both personable and experienced. They were patient with our questions they made the trip so much fun and even though we didn’t catch anything till very late in the trip they always had a good attitude. When we did start to catch some fish, they were quick, talented and helped us bring in three medium sized fish and the one that got away was eaten by a shark so we have a great story to take back home with us! I highly recommend Jim and his crew to anybody young or old experienced or not to take a ride with this team.

Our group of 6 had a fantastic time fishing! This was our first time on a charter trip. We originally started off fishing for marlin, but without success. We switched to other fish and caught 2 tunas!! So exciting. Originally we booked the 4 hour trip, at the 3 hr mark we still hadn’t caught any fish so we extended the trip another 2hrs. Everyone in our group enjoyed the trip, we saw dolphins and enjoyed the ride. Captain and deck hand were so great, they made the trip all the more exciting. Definitely recommend!!! Don’t forget your drinks and snacks like we did, you won’t have anything for the entire time, (pack the night before!!!!).

We booked a 6hr trip with Captain Jim. Our grandson Brandon loves fishing. This is his graduation gift. All three of us caught some small tuna. Brandon wanted to try to catch a big fish after that. He had 2 bites but they got away. He was a bit disappointed but he was still very happy with the experience.
Captain Jim offered to take him out again the next day. He was going to take the day off but he wanted to help Brandon catch a big fish. Since Brandon loves fishing so much, we took up the captain’s offer. We are so glad we did cause Brandon caught 2 big marlins. Captain Jim also showed Brandon various aspects of fishing that only true fishermen will know. Needless to say, Brandon was so very happy with his experience and he told everyone that was the best day of his life.

Captain Jim is kind, enthusiastic and extremely devoted to his profession. He works very hard to make sure his customers have a good experience. We are so blessed that we found him and signed up with him for our fishing trip.

Capt Jim and Mate Mike know their stuff! We caught fish trolling right out of the harbor and throughout the day! When things slowed up they quickly changed tactics and switched over to the live bait they caught the night before and put us on a 700# Blue Marlin! My wife fought it for a bit then our 17-year old son took over. It was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE watching that MONSTER jump out of the ocean! We will NEVER forget that trip and we will be booking KONA DICE again on our next trip come Christmas!! Mahalo Capt Jim!!!!! David F. San Diego, California
