You can have good days and bad days. But when i asked about the latest catch which was worth to mention he had the search back for 12 days. 12 days is equal to +/- 15 disappointing fishing trips.

Mauritius contain about 30 (or even more?) fishing boats which are average 8 hours a day, 5 days a week booked while enjoying a 9 months lasting fishing season. In combination with not releasing small fishes it seems to cause overfishing.

About the crew and equipment; boat is too big and loudly to go after tuna by following the birds. Only thing what happens is that the tuna’s have been pushed away.
Furthermore it would have been nice if dead bait (for shark or barracuda) or non-trolling rods (when floating next to tuna’s) were available to have some variation instead of 5 hours non-stop trolling.

The boat and crew were awesome. I have a disability and carry an Oxygen machine the crew and capt were very accommodating to our needs. My wife has never fished before, she really enjoyed the experience as the crew took time to teach her. They told us exactly what they were doing and explaning why. I have been on other fishing trip were the crew just stay quite until you hook sometging. We saw humpback whales and to top the amazing day we caught 17 tuna’s.

I went to Mauritius to fish and the airline misplaced my rods for the first 10 days of my trip 2 week trip but thanks to Capt Antonio and his crew and the Maranatha my fishing experience wasn’t a total right off.  Capt Antonio was very quick to reply to emails and was able to get us out for a 3/4 day trip.  Two of the people I meet from my resort had never been deep sea fishing before, but thanks to the crew we were able to get them into the chair and land some dorado.  I have fished almost everywhere I have traveled and I have to say that the crew were top notch and were constantly searching the horizon for birds and signs of fish activity.  On our way out Capt Antonio noticed a pod of whales so he also took the opportunity to try and get us as close as he could so that we could get some great pictures to just add to the experience.  I have to say that you never know what you might catch or if you will catch anything but the crew and Capt. Antonio will try what ever they can to put you onto fish vs some boats that might just swap out a lure or two.
