First of all, Capt Izzy is an outstanding fisherman and guide on the water! His passion for what he does shines through to how he operates on the water and treats whoever steps onto his boat. He is highly knowledgeable about the bay area and can easily locate the fish.

He said be there at 630. I was there and he was too. He let me through the gate and we soon hopped onto his beautiful boat loaded with live bait and ambition. We hit the first spot about 10-15 minutes later and proceeded to catch many fish of all sizes and species. A 19 1/2” slot speckled trout was one of the first that was caught and man 😁 it was on from there. In all we caught flounder, speckled trout and black drum to bring home. The only thing we were missing from the Texas Slam was a keeper Redfish and this guy stayed true to his company name; I put every last dead/alive/broken up piece of bait left on a hook and fished until there was nothing but juice leftover in order to catch that keeper red but it was elusive. We did catch some “rat reds” though.

Simply put, don’t let the lower price tag compared to some others fool you into thinking you’re going out for some cheap boat ride to keep you busy. He’s coming with the bait and he’s coming with the want to be out there more than anyone else and I believe that’s what separates him from the rest. Thank you Capt!

Left early for what the captain said would be a bit of a ride, he wasn’t kidding. Saw a beautiful sunrise on the way out to our fishing spot and once he got us rigged up, within minutes, we were on the fish.

We caught a variety of fish, reds, trout and a couple of drum. Pulled up anchor to test another “secret” spot and we were slaying the snapper. It was a day of fun and laughter and we left the fish biting.

The boat is very comfortable and had plenty of room for our group and our cold packs. But as with all good things, the day came to an end. We headed back in and Captain Izzy fileted and bagged the fish for us. We left him a nice tip, he left us with a lifetime of memories.

After rescheduling our initial trip because of weather, the wait was worth it! Captain Izzy was very communicative and on point about weather and making sure we had the best possible opportunity for catching fish. Once we were on the water, we were on the fish. Captain Izzy kept us entertained all afternoon with fishing and chatting. All around great day on the water with a great day of catching, ending with a nice 16” speckled trout and a 33” Bull Red courtesy of Captain Izzy’s secret spot. We Can’t wait to get back on the water with Captain Izzy.

Captain Izzy did a great job! He was very communicative, and even talked to us about the weather at our scheduled time and was able to get us in at earlier time to avoid some of the heavier winds. I took my two sons out first time fishers and they had a great experience both of them caught multiple fish none of them were good keepers for eating but we all had a great time catching. I would highly recommend Captain Izzy he has a good attitude and seems to know his way and the history around the area.

I have been on multiple fishing trips across the country and into Mexico but I have never had a Captain work so hard to get on fish as Captain Izzy. He truly has a passion for what he does and his customer satisfaction is outstanding. His motto Once More Cast is for real, that last cast ended up with a 21-inch Red.
