To start this off, I’m going to share that we had a really bad experience last year with a different service in which they literally just didn’t show up. Therefore, I was apprehensive about trying to do this again. I’m also going to add that my little ones are a SUPER “spirited” bunch. This man was a GODSEND. I’m so thankful we used him because he provided the literal BEST EXPERIENCE EVER. He has patience that was so necessary for me and my family.

To begin with, I had to reschedule the first trip due to medical reasons and he was super understanding. He was very communicative and helped direct us to the area where the boat is and also provided detailed instructions about exactly where to find him. He was also super patient with all of my super annoying last minute questions.

The day of the trip:
1. Parts of I45 south were shut down which caused massive traffic delays so we were a bit late and he was super understanding when I called to let him know we were a little behind.
2. My son has special needs and he was SO ACCOMMODATING and helpful. Him and I were the only two adults on this trip and the kids were so excited to be on the water that it was difficult to contain them but he never once got frustrated with them. He was patient, kind, and knowledgeable about the area, the diff species of fish, and the capabilities of my kids and catered the trip to best suit their needs.
3. He made sure the kids caught fish, answered all their questions, let them each have a turn steering the boat, played music they liked, was so encouraging even if they were having trouble. He also made sure they got to see some dolphins.

He was so gentle in redirecting us when we were not doing things not quite right. He made sure everyone was safe and comfortable. He went above and beyond. He cleaned what we caught immediately after returning to the marina and suggested where to go to have it cooked. We followed his suggestion and it was awesome. It’s obvious he is very passionate about helping people and especially children grow to love fishing and respecting the outdoors with his business. I’m so thankful we picked this charter and we will definitely be back. Can’t say enough good things about this captain and his company.

Captain Rene goes the extra mile, no, 10 miles to make the fishing experience EXTRA special.  This trip was for my 67 birthday and it was the best gift I could ever hope for.  Thanks Rene for making it SO special.  We will be back.

Rene was a fantastic captain. He explained to my kids how to fish. He always had a good attitude about teaching them. We caught 13 fish. More than any other captain that day. I would definitely recommend.
