We had a great day fishing. Caught 17 Dorado. After getting back to the pier I tipped the crew and they commenced to cleaning my fish. They kept half of my catch. When I asked why so much, I was made to feel guilty for basically being greedy. I don’t know if they took fish and fed their families or sold them or what, Dorado is an expensive fish. I did text the owner, but I am not terribly satisfied with his reply.

Even with some rainy weather we were able to haul in 4 barracudas!  Only wish they had some cushions for the seating.  Overall it was a good fishing trip.

I would never blame the captain, the mate, they were great people knowing where the fishes were, but not the types of fishes I wanted to catch and what their ad was claiming we can catch booking a 6-hour trip. I was told that the boat, the engine were not meant for a long distance trip to catch tunas and wahoos which was totally against that profile you’d find in the web site. On top of this disappointment, although I made sure I only wanted to do lure casting via email communication, the captain said bait fishing is better bet in Cancun, and it seems that they only took me to where they could catch their fishes with baits themselves. Again, I cannot blame them as I assume they’re commercial fishermen operating chartered fishing boat as side job, but it’s obviously not described in the web site. Just like they say your worst day in the ocean is better than your best day in your office, I did enjoy the trip, but I would choose other place to satisfy my enthusiasm for fishing.

Captain and First Mate where very nice. Boat and equipment are very old.
