I can check catching a Marlin (200#) off my bucket list thanks to Captain Lance and mate Jack. Good communication. Started and returned on time. Nice boat. Lots of lines out trolling. Had some delicious pastries. Plenty of drinks. Good instruction on using the fighting chair. Captain Lance found the fish and the fight was on. Excellent boat positioning helped me reel in the fish. They held it so I could get a good picture and released it to fight another day. Caught a nice skipjack tuna and got a large fillet for a meal. I call that a perfect day.  Thanks guys!

Absolutely awesome.  It’s always been a bucket list item to mark a Blue Marlin off my list.  Medusa Fishing ensured it happened.  I have chartered fishing boats all over the world.  This was one of the best experiences I have had.  100% recommend.

First time out with the family.  Hooked a blue Marlin within an hour.  Oldest kid was in the chair reeling it in, the other kid was puking his guts out.  Great character building for all. First kid eventually puked too.  He says it was worth it.  Captain and first mate were exceptional.  Both loved being on the water and were happy to turn the boat around when asked. Highly recommend.

These guys are serious about getting fish. Jack, the first mate, cleaned and portioned the Wahoo we kept. You could tell this was not his first rodeo. Lance, the Captain, was very knowledgeable of the waters and used up to date fishing equipment. I would use them again in a heartbeat. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Captain Lance was a good communicator leading up to our fishing trip answering text and phone calls usually within an hour or two. No surprises on game day. 3/4 day trip. The night before our trip I shared with Capt. Lance that I would like to target Ono at some point in the day and Marlin for the remainder.  Capt. Lance recommended a 5:30 am departure. Leaving at dawn was gorgeous.  John the First Mate put our lines out for Ono well before sunrise.  After an hour and a half with no luck Capt. Lance recommended we fish for marlin.  About an hour later…fish on!  John put the nearest boy to the fighting chair in it as the #130 lb test screamed off the Shimano Tiagra 130W.  John cleared the rest of the lines and coached my son how to fight the behemoth.  Capt. Lance relayed that he saw the marlins back as it hit our lure and estimated it to be a #500 female.  After stripping all of our #130 mono and taking maybe 50 yards of dacron the fish got off the hook. I was more than pleased to hear the first words from First Mate John to my son was “You did nothing wrong lad,  it happens some times to all of us.” 

My three sons and two grandsons will never forget the 8-10 minutes we were hooked up to that marlin!  Thank you Captain Lance and First Mate John.  It was an absolute pleasure to fish with you.  I have fished on maybe a half dozen charter boats in Hawaii and you guys were the most personable and professional fishermen I believe I have met. Cheers and tight lines!

Side note…the night before our trip I text Capt. Lance and asked him if he would have some shoyu onboard in case we caught a tuna.  Next day about lunch time John asked me if we would like some sashimi…I’m not certain who’s lunch box it came out of but five minutes later John sliced up a plate full of Ahi and set a bowl of shoyu and wasabi next to it.  Never expected.  Pro.
