I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a deep sea fishing trip with an outstanding crew, and it was an experience I won’t soon forget. From the moment we set sail, excitement filled the air, and it wasn’t long before the reels were spinning.

Our haul was nothing short of impressive - we hooked a total of 15 white Bonita, each one a testament to the abundance of marine life beneath the surface. But the excitement didn’t stop there. Throughout the day, we were treated to the breathtaking sight of several majestic humpback whales gracefully breaching the waves, adding an extra layer of magic to our adventure.

What truly made this trip unforgettable, however, was the exceptional skill and dedication of our captain and first mate. Their knowledge of the sea and unwavering commitment to ensuring our enjoyment and safety were evident from start to finish. Not only did they expertly guide us to the best fishing spots, but they also shared fascinating insights about the local ecosystem and wildlife, enriching our experience even further.

Overall, my deep sea fishing expedition exceeded all expectations. It was a thrilling adventure filled with excitement, natural beauty, and unforgettable moments. I can’t recommend this trip highly enough to anyone seeking an unforgettable oceanic adventure. Huge thanks to the captain and crew for making it an experience of a lifetime.

Captain Mario and Shorty were very knowledgeable about what was biting and knew all the history about the bay. Mario is a 3rd gen PV fisherman, after his dad and grandfather. Mario’s dad hosted Richard Burton on his boat several times in the 70’s (thus the name of the boat ‘Burton III’).

This trip was a gift for my mother’s 70th Birthday and we were delighted to catch four 25-30lb Jack Caravelle. Saw a couple of sting rays, too. Would recommend Mario and crew and we plan to be back for another trip!

Partly cloudy to sunny day later, light breeze, glassy to start with a little roll later.  I could hear over the radio that it was a tough day for other captains out in the bay, we were able to hook up 6 nice Jacks and lost another.  My buddy and I were doubled up on our first fish.  Boat and gear were good and the Captain and mate did a great job on the day.  Took a cab to the marina and were met there and escorted to the boat.  They had beer, water and soft drinks on ice for us ready to go.  Great time on the water thanks to the Burton III.

We started the day with a quick catch of two jack crevalle, fun to bring in! Then Mario took us up close to see mama and baby whales. Then out farther to sea… caught so many white bonnita we lost count! Had three or four fish on several times! (Saw several more whales on our way back in.)

Mario was easy to communicate with and knowledgeable about where the action was. It was obvious he takes this seriously and wanted us to have a great time.

Bonus was taking our catch to a local restaurant for a feast!
