What an awesome day on the water with the crew of Burton III. I messaged Mario before the trip that we wanted to target big fish, but that I also wanted to catch a Rooster Fish. Mario took us right to the Sandy beach where the Roosters hang out. The first line in the water was hit and the battle was on. We landed a 68” Rooster, so big that it even had Mario smiling and taking pictures. We stayed in the area long enough to land 3 more roosters, 1 for each of us plus one more.

Then we rigged up and began trolling. It was slow for a while but we landed a nice Toro (Jack Cravelle). Then they tracked a school of Bonito and had a great time casting and fighting some fun little fish.

The grand finale was landing this 8’ Marlin after a tough 30 minute battle.

Back at the dock, Mario cut up the Marlin into beautiful steaks. We had a great dinner of Marlin tacos later that night.

Mario and his helper (sorry I can’t remember his name) we’re fun, knowledgeable and know their stuff. I highly recommend them and can’t wait for our next trip with them.

Jan **hidden content** of us had the best salt water fishing trip we have ever had with Captain Mario and Alex on Burton III. I had hoped to catch a Mahi Mahi and in this 5 hour trip, we caught over 2 dozen Bonita, 3 Mahi Mahi, and a couple of Skip Jacks.  Captain Mario and Alex are extremely friendly and knowledgeable! We could not have hoped for a better trip. Alex fileted one of the Mahi Mahi and it was delicious when cooked at our resort. I now know why Burton III Boat fishing is “angler’s choice” on Fish Broker. When I return to Puerto Vallarta, I am not going to look for any other fishing charter.

My husband and I are on our honeymoon and thought this would be a perfect gift for my husband! Captain Mario and Alex were awesome! My husband and I truly enjoyed ourselves out on the water! Caught 4 mahi mahi, 1 bonito, and 1 Spanish mackerel! We saw a ton of humpback whales, dolphins, and even a sea turtle! The boat was exceptionally clean, Mario provided ice cold beer, water, sodas! Next time I think we will book an 8 or 10 hour trip because we didn’t want to stop haha!! I highly, highly, recommend booking with Burton III fishing. We took one mahi fish that Alex cleaned and filleted for us to Eddie’s restaurant right at the marina and they made us ceviche and grilled our catch. Can’t get any better nor fresher than that!! We will be book again when we return!!

My wife and I did the 8 hour trip and when we got to the fishing waters we immediately started catching Bonita and not one at a time but two and three at a time! It was fantastic, the well was full! Then we switched locations and gear and caught a beautiful Mahi-Mahi. It was a fantastic day on the water and Captain Mario and Mate Shorty were so much fun and great boatmen! This is the charter for you!!
