Burton lll Sport Fishing 

Booked a 6 hour trip with Burton. Within 15 minutes of having lines in the water, my wife and I doubled up on some big Jack Crevalle. About 10 minutes after that, we hooked into another good sized fish. The remainder of the day was slow as we only caught some small Skipjack, but thats just fishing. Mario was switching gear and bait, there was no lack of effort. Once we got too hot, we pulled into the beach and took a quick plunge. Overall a fantastic day, would absolutely book again.

Mario and Shorty made our day! It was so fun, I definitely recommend adding the snorkeling on, it was one of the most beautiful beaches. Mario made the most amazing cevice with the fish we caught, and we even caught too many fish to take home so we released a massive BullFish. Great fun, some of my favirite people to ever fish with. The BullFish put up a fighy but Mario and Shorty were there the whole time to make it easier. 10/10 recommend!

Had an amazing experience on today’s fishing charter. The boat was extremely comfortable, spacious, and equipped with top-quality gear — all Avet setups. Mario and Shorty were both fantastic and made the trip even better. One of the highlights was the fresh ceviche they made with the fish we caught. The mango added the perfect sweet balance and it was some of the best ceviche I’ve had. Highly recommend this charter and I will definitely be back!

Burton Fishing, and particularly Mario and Luis, delivered a great experience...my first off-shore fishing trip. Regrettably, the fish decided to stay largely away that day - and not just for us apparently - and I lost a big, beautiful dorado at the boat. I didn't go home skunked though and was able to provide for dinner that evening. The guides did an excellent job, were very helpful throughout, patient with a novice, and simply wanted to be sure that I had a most enjoyable time. I learned a lot from them. The day was a highlight for me and would strongly recommend Burton to others - am looking forward to my next trip with them already.

We had an excellent time with Cpt Mario! Not only was it our group's first time in Puerto Vallarta, but also our first time fishing off a boat in open water. Cpt Mario had basically everything we needed other than whatever drinks/snacks we wanted to bring. He helped us set up the rods to catch live bait, and then further set up the larger rigs to use the live bait on. We hooked a huge sailfish that gave a huge jumping fight, but it got away while reeling in. We landed several Skipjack Tuna big enough to keep, and they helped us clean the fish on board before heading back to dock. Our day was great, it was easy to find the boat at the docks, the crew was awesome- the whole experience was great! 10/10, would recommend 👌

We had such an amazing experience! We went snorkeling at the beach and fishing, and everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were so pleasant, professional, and made us feel comfortable the whole time. I even caught my first fish, which made the trip extra special! The snorkeling was incredible — we saw so many beautiful fish and marine life. Mario was especially accommodating and professional. He made sure everything ran smoothly and that we had the best possible experience. Highly recommend this tour — we would absolutely do it again!

Bottom line...no pun intended, if Capt. Mario is on the bapt w/ 1st hand Alex...BIG fish are about to be a reality...this is my 2nd and 3rd trip with them...its almost like what they know what they are doing cause from my view they dont miss...we will be coming back again in Dec 27 for round 4,5,&6. Seriously, one of the best Captains I have run across...his vibe and passion for this show, it can be felt as you get on the boat. Capt. Mario works as hard as his deck hand and goes above and beyond to put you on your wish fish!

It was a slow day everywhere apparently but we caught a couple fish (Spanish Mackerel and Snapper), Mario and Shorty were on the radio and fish finder trying to find us fish. We did some trolling and some bottom fishing. Puerto Vallarta and the mountains are beautiful from the water, so I don't mind it was a bit slow because the views were amazing as well.

Im a boat owner & salmon fisherman of 20+ years from Canada. I came to Mexico for a holiday with the intention of catching some big game fish and this crew DID NOT disappoint. Captain Mario is young, energetic, and clever; all the qualities you’d want in a charter captain. He put us on the fish and put on a show in the process; guiding the boat and six rods set on the outriggers through two intense billfish bites. We landed a 200 pound Blue Marlin, and an 80 pound Sailfish. This crew is very experienced, so if you’re a serious fisherman looking for a hell of an experience, the Burton 3 is your boat.

We booked the six hour tour fish, snorkel, beach. The weather was great and the crew was super experienced. The boat was very well maintained and stocked. We basically relied on the crew for fishing advice as we are novice ocean fishing people. They got on a school of rooster fish and we nailed three of them in the first ten minutes. The crew constantly swapped out gear to maximize the potential to land fish. We really enjoyed the boat ride and saw mantas jumping as well as humpbacks breaching. The day went by quickly but we did land some skipjacks around noon. Overall a very memorable day. We will be back and highly recommend Burton lll fishing for your next adventure.
