  Dream day on the water!

  Good gracious, what an experience! Been fishing regularly for 40+yrs, and today ranked among the very best ever. And given literally hundreds of outings, that's not something I'd say lightly. Mostly tuna, and a few skipjacks. The father/son captains are masters of the water, so the three of us were yelling "fish on" so dang often that our biceps are still throbbing hours later. Wasn't unusual to have two lines taught, or even three at once. What's interesting is that although there were a number of boats in the immediate area, we didn't see many other bent rods. There were a few here and there, but not at all like we had going on. Ended up maxing out our license limit of 5/person, so we'll be eating sashimi, ceviche and tuna steaks the rest of the week. Also picking up 50lbs of vacuum packed and frozen tuna loin on the way to the airport. Final point -- we had such an absolute blast that we booked another outing for Fri, this time going for a marlin, which has eluded me after a dozen tries over the years. Cautiously optimistic for the same luck as this morning, but either way this is now our official charter every time we're back.

  Amazing Fishing Trip !!!!

  6 hours fishing trip on May 14, 2026 • 2 adults

  This was the first time my girlfriend and I have ever fished out of San Jose. The Captain Jaime, or could have been Carlos and crew Felipe were outstanding. We hooked our first stripped marlin 30 minutes into fishing, but unfortunately it broke off. But in the next two hours we landed two beautiful Striped Marlin, one about 80lbs then a 220lb monster. We also hooked what was probably a very large shark that we fought for about 40 minutes before the line snapped. Back at the marina we took photos and they cleaned and filleted the fish for use., We also had them vacuum seal it and freeze it for our flight back to Oregon. I would definitely charter from them again, we had an amazing trip. The only complaint I had was that one of the reels did not have a level wind on it, which caused the line to bunch up in the middle while I was fighting the shark and caused the line to pinch and break. I really wanted to see it after the long fight. Overall we were very happy with the charter and look forward to the next trip with them.

  Captain Poncho

  6 Hour Trip on May 7, 2026 • 2 adults

  This is our second year fishing with Poncho on his boat, Captain Hook. Last year we caught a lot of yellow tail tuna and this year we caught several marlin and a Dorado. We also caught a couple of sharks....and a family of dolphins swam and played near the boat. Captain Poncho is soft spoken, hardworking and patient. He has provided wonderful trips and we look forward to connecting with him again next year when we come to Cabo. Thank you again!

  Double Mahi Mahi

  6 Hour Trip on January 21, 2026 • 2 adults

  Set off around 6:30am with Captain Felipe to grab some bait for the Tuna and Mahi Mahi. The morning was beautiful, calm waters and cool breeze. We started trolling and it was a quiet morning for the first hour and a half, but picked up quickly with two Mahi Mahi within 30 minutes of each other. We set off to catch tuna after the second mahi mahi, and landed one smaller tuna fairly quickly. Due to previous day stomach issues, we stopped our trip early but still had an amazing time. Felipe would have stayed longer but we requested to go back to shore. Our fish was kept and filleted by locals and we kept one piece to be cooked in a nearby restaurante. Absolutely delicious, and an amazing day. Bravo.

  Amazing Crew!

  6 Hour Trip on August 5, 2026 • 2 adults

  Met at the marina extrance by the manager and giuded to our vessel by the 1st mate, what an exceptional start. The fishing started slow but the crew stuck to the plan and we got on the fish! We caught a bunch of smaller less desirable fish but those came in handy later to distract the sharks from our Tuna and Sailfish!! I have fished the Americas over and will be booking a trip with this crew next time im back in Cabo.
