Prior to the trip Jeremias was an excellent communicator through messaging in English. I had many questions that he answered efficiently. He also speaks English fluently.

I highly recommend this charter! I would not hesitate to book a trip with JLC again.

My goal was to target Marlin and that is exactly what we did for the full 8 hours. Jeremias and his helper Marten worked very hard to make my dream a reality, unfortunately the Marlin didn’t cooperate. We did catch several Mahi-mahi, which I’m sure we could have loaded the cooler with them if we were targeting that species. During the last hour of the trip at one point the captain had Mahi-mahi in a feeding frenzy right next to the boat, really a cool thing to see.

When we got back to the dock Jeremias called a cab for me because I didn’t have cell phone service, and I don’t speak Spanish at all…We also had an issue with credit card processing at the dock, they flagged the transaction as possible fraud,  but we were able to resolve the problem efficiently with a second card that accepted the payment. There is also an ATM within walking distance from the dock.

We were able to fish with JLC recently on our trip to Riviera Maya. Captain Jeremias did an amazing job showing us a great day of fishing. He worked very hard and changed tactic multiple times to get us into fish. His knowledge of the area and how to fish there was very useful in putting us on the fish. Captain Jeremias is definitely someone I would book with again and have 100% confidence he was going to get us into fish.

I fished twice with Jeremias in March 2024. We had no luck in getting a sailfish the first day (full day), but I did catch a decent barracuda. The second trip (morning only) he put me on some triggerfish because I wanted to take fish back to the resort to make sashimi and for me to have cerviche made by a resort chef work the rest grilled. He put me on a couple of bigger fish but I let them. I really enjoyed the trips but never got around to writing a review and I missed my window, but knew I would be going back to the same general area in December. On that morning trip I hit a decent King on the way out, and has a couple of bigger fish on that unfortunately got taken away by an even bigger shark 🤷‍♂️ On my last cast I caught a nice Bonito, which along with the Kingfish became sashimi, sushi, nigiri, and cerviche, work the remainder grilled back at another resort where my girlfriend and me stayed (see images, and note NOT prepared by Jeremias, except the filleting lol) Definitely would fish with Jeremias again

Jeremiad and Martin were fabulous. Knowledgeable and friendly. Jeremiah speaks English very well.. if you are someone that gets these sick or motion sick it might not be for you but it’s a good time. We only stayed out for 3 hours cuz I got very sick towards the end but I always felt like we were safe and put in a good position to catch fish. They cleaned our fish and we will eat them for supper tonight.! He gave us some good tips on how to make ceviche and we are very excited to try it.
