Captain RJ did a great job and knew where to find the big ones.  We caught 2 trophy red fins, trout, flounder, snappers, oyster cracker and over 20 spade fish.  And a couple crackers.  The Captain was very knowledgeable about what and where to go to get the fish.  It was very easy to find him and there was plenty of parking.  On our way back on he rescued a stranded boater who was having engine problems.  Thanks Captain RJ for the great morning.

Unfortunately we had a tropical storm hit the area two days before our trip. We decided not to cancel and try to catch what we could. Even with the water churned up Captain put us on fish. Still managed to catch about 20 fish using live bait and cut bait. Captain did all he could to put us on redfish and flounder. Captain can’t control the weather and still put us on fish. We will definitely be repeat customers.

Captain RJ set great expectations via phone prior to trip…Upon arrival, the boat, equipment and bait were all in great shape…Took a reasonable trip up the inter-coastal waterway to a secluded spot that had only one other vessel in sight and began fishing…Being a novice fisherman, Captain RJ took time to show me casting locations, proper baiting, reeling instruction and the proper approach to maneuvering bait with the tide…A captain buddy of Captain RJ’s brought his past out and assisted testing several locations to put us on the fish…We were able to limit out on some beautiful Reds and a Flounder…Captain RJ was completely engaged with each and every casting and was all over each of us to make certain every fish hooked was landed…Captain RJ safely got us back to the dock where he cleaned and filleted our fish…We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and Captain RJ’s stellar service…He was not only a friendly fella, but was a great fisherman, coach and kept us safe throughout the trip…Would highly recommend Honey Hole Charters (Captain RJ) for anyone looking for an enjoyable half or full day trip in the North Myrtle Beach area…

We didn’t do as well as anyone would luke but it wasn’t for the lack of work or knowledge on the Captains part.  We went out on a really wierd day.  The water was extremely low, weather out of season hot and the tide took forever to turn over.  Even with all the difficulties,  everyone on board landed a fishing.  My teenage boys all had a good time and enjoyed themselves!

We will rebook the next time we are in Mytrle Beach!

For an extremely hot day we had a blast.  Capt called and we left earlier than planned to beat the heat. Which was awesome !  The heat affected the bite, but he still put us in some fish. My teen boys really enjoyed the morning.  Highly recommend.
