Definitely hire a private charter vs the tourist boats. We fished after a full moon. I didn’t see any activity to hunt down. This crew fished hard. That’s why it’s called fishing.

My wife and I had a great time on the Kay Kib. Laura was very accommodating leading up to the trip. A week before the trip it showed the weather to be bad when we had it booked. She was very helpful in moving the date earlier where weather was expected to be better. We caught over a dozen mahi and some barracuda. Unfortunately no marlin, but that’s fishing! We were told the fishing had been slow lately so we were going to head to a different spot.  About two hours in, the captain found a weed line and it wasn’t long after that the reel was spinning.  After a fun fight and the crew doing a great job getting it in the boat we had a 79.5 inch white marlin. We also caught mahi-mahi on the way back in. This was their 6 hour trip which allowed us to travel a little further. Thank you to the crew for all the hard work.
