I had a unique opportunity to realize a variety of feelings, emotions and sensations while aboard the Juancho with Capt Salas and Jesus: relaxation, exhilaration, excitement, anticipation, satisfaction, disappointment (when a mako shark ate my amberjack while reeling it in and then after fighting the same shark for 10 strenuous minutes and he threw the hook), camaraderie, laughter, accomplishments and the wonderment of the sea and its inhabitants.

Spent four hours trolling on the boat. Five rods were in the water but there is no bite. Did not even get the chance to touch the rods. Water was calm and weather was nice. I think the terminal tackle and the way they troll can be improved.

Excellent day caught some big fish and the crew were very knowledgeable and captain organised my fish to be cooked in a nice restaurant on the beach highly recommend

We had captain Victor. Small ponga style boat but rods and reels are very good.  Crew did a very good job of trying to catch fish we just only had one barracuda.  We had one blue marlin hit 2 baits but we did not get a hook set.  We saw one white marlin free jump, we just did not hook up.  We had the Blue hit right in front of Xcaret, about 2-3 miles from the beach.

Victor and Chaleco worked hard, my son landed a nice white marlin after a fight of almost an hour. Would have liked using a different method than just trolling, but we were pretty much the only boat to catch a worthy fish that morning, so will yield to the experts.
