Joe was great. He reached out to me a few days prior to the trip. He was quick to respond to my questions and was in the water and ready for our 8:00 am start time. We caught a bunch of fish and he was very personable. He was a great captain! I recommend him to anyone looking to go fishing and have a good time.

Joe put us on the fish as soon as we arrived to the first spot. Not only did we catch a large quantity but we also caught some quality fish with size. Joe was also willing to allow us to chase and catch some other species in other areas (per our request). All in all a great experience, highly recommended!

We had plenty of filets for a dinner for 6 plus leftovers. We tossed a lot back for future charters. In all we landed over 30. Capt Joe (no slob) is a smart, supportive guide. Many times he saved us steps by rebating, casting and advised “reel!” to our surprise there was a fish on instantly.

Our kids are worn out!  Why?  In a four hour trip, we caught nearly 90 fish!  Captain Joe put us on Speckled Trout first thing in the morning.  The fishing was so good that we actually left a spot with biting fish and went to another hole to catch Snook.  Joe, by the way was great with our kids.  He is an eager and enthusiastic guy.  He is timely and shows up with plenty of bait and equipment that is top notch.  After we finished our trip he jumped out of the boat and cleaned our catch.  Next time we are in the St Pete Beach area, I’ll guarantee we will give Joe a call and book another amazing experience!

I currently live in Vietnam, but was back Stateside for the first time in two years visiting family.  My father and I booked this trip very simply through Fishing Booker. I missed Redfishing so much and wanted more than anything to lay into some.  Joe did not disappoint!  He was waiting for us at the dock with a bait well full of greenbacks.  We hit an early snook bite casting tight to cover and released a dozen or so within an hour.  Some close to the 30 inch mark.  The tides slacked and we moved a little further inshore to target some reds.  After catching a small shark and a stingray, my father and I started to worry, but Joe coached patience and we were rewarded.  The next few hours rods were bending this way and that as we landed one beautiful Redfish after another.  Throw in some seatrout and mangrove snapper and it was a full day workout.  We got our inshore slam and then some.  I would recommend Captian Slobby without hesitation!
