We booked a half day with Joe. He communicated with us days ahead of time so we knew where to meet him and was responsive to my messages. We’ve been on a couple other charters in different states. Joe exceeded all previous experiences we’ve had!! If fish wasn’t biting, he was quick to try another place. We caught tons of fish to keep at the 2nd location and many large catch-and-release fish at the 3rd and final place. We even saw dolphins and a manatee. The hours went by quickly. Our kids (ages 10, 10, 13, and 15) thought Joe was funny and he taught them all about fishing. Joe was quick to bait a hook and give you the rod. Never a dull moment!

Captain Joe fit us in last minute after our booked charter cancelled due to a maintenance problem. We were so glad for the opportunity to fish with him. He is a true gentleman. We were on fish in 10 minutes. Jacks, snook and redfish offered steady action the whole trip and Captain Joe was great with my 10 year old. He was so patient teaching her about the fish, the tackle, the boat, etc. She was asking when we could come out and fish with Captain Joe again—before we even got back to the dock! Great fun, great equipment a wonderful boat and a beautiful day with a fine captain. Who could ask for more. Highly recommended.

We booked the 7 hour trip! We are from Tennessee and fish a lot! We wanted to try something different. The name caught our eye on this site. We picked the best captain, by far!  Absolutely amazing with the 3 kids! (4, 8, 15)  He was shocked we and the kids knew so much about fishing, in general! He’s very knowledgeable about everything, from the area to the spots to be younger & had us on fish all day! The kids were so excited, as were we, to have such a relaxing, fun, & memorable experience and catch & release & keep different varieties of fish! We found out later, by other fisherman, that day was a bad day of fishing but we couldn’t tell. Also, don’t bring bananas on the boat…superstition (bad luck) but that didn’t matter either… LOL They had a great personality and it seems as if we were fishing with old buddies! We all had tons of laughs!  We all have our own sayings while fishing… I think we have new ones, from his & vise versa! 100% recommended to anyone who wants to have a great time! We fried up our keepers for supper tonight! Yummy! Words can NOT Express the whole experience & memories that we’re still talking about… We’re DEFINITELY using him again when we come back to Florida! RECOMMENDED 100% THE BEST! A+++++++++

Joe is a skilled, knowledgeable, hard working Captain who makes every effort to get you on fish.  Given that you’re about to spend 4 to 7 hours with someone on a boat, I will also mention that he has a fun personality and is a pleasure to fish with.  My son and I had a great day with him in early August.

Captain Slobby Joe is a great guy and definitely knows where to find the fish. We had a group of 6 and our trip exceeded all of our expectations. We caught over 30 fish in just 4 hours. Most of them were snapper and snook. One of the snook was over 30”!!! Great experience! Thanks captain! We all left with memories that will last a lifetime. Can’t wait to come back!
