- My wife grew up in Aransas Pass and we have lived in the area for the last 25 years of our 43 years together. My father n law was an avid fisherman and friends referred to him as The Kingfish. I learned as much as I could, not enough for a nickname, but enough to enjoy sharing a fun day on the water with folks who appreciate a fun day on the water. We want to catch fish but don't take ourselves so serious that it takes the fun out of it.
- Techniques
- My preferred style of fishing involves any style or technique that catches fish. As my charter name implies, a Popping cork with shrimp or other bait is a common approach. Depending on the circumstance, you will also see top water, artificial, cut bait, live bait, Carolina rigs, and dropper rigs, We primarily use spinning reels with a couple of bait casters ready to deploy.
