These guys deserve SIX STARS! Great charter, had a blast with David & Matt. Caught lots of fish while laughing the whole time until I got sea sick and had to return to the bay. Don’t fish in the bay, super boring. If you’re lucky enough to have first mate, Matt H, he’s a savant with the line untangling which is why he was at Harvard for two weeks before becoming a first mate. Can’t miss with these guys!

Great day on the water despite some tough weather.  Captain worked hard to keep us on fish and knew exactly where they would be. Huge striped bass caught on light tackle with eels. After the sharks took over (big fish, great fight), we switched to sea bass and fluke for a nice haul to make lots of fish tacos.  Overall fun day with great crew, excellent boat and equipment.

We 3 buddies enjoyed a perfect fishing trip aboard the Spear-it! Captain Dave and mate Matt were helpful , knowledgeable, personable and got us to the best areas loaded with stripers and fluke where we caught lots of good fish. The trip was great. I would highly recommend them to anyone. The boat and equipment were excellent. Fish on 👍

Had a great time out on the water with Captain David and First Mate Matt.  It was my sons (7 and 9) first time out fishing in the ocean and they were both able to catch some fish and at the end of the trip my youngest didn’t want to leave!  Highly recommend especially if you have kids interested in fishing.

Fantastic trip from start to finish! The kids had a blast reeling in a bunch of stripers along with a shark and we even brought home a delicious bonita for dinner. Dave and Matt were top-notch—knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience unforgettable. We’ll definitely be booking again!
