This was a trip my partner and I went on while visiting Miami for vacation. I had never fished before while he had. The kids’ fishing trip with Captain Jimmy was a major highlight of our Miami vacation. Jimmy was a natural with my kids, aged 7 and 12, who had fished only once before. Jimmy was friendly and patient, engaging, and so knowledgeable about the marine life we encountered.  He found a calm, quiet spot where my kids caught grunt, triggerfish, and even a hogfish! My son and I had a great time fishing in Key Biscayne, FL. My son really wanted to catch some barracuda for the first time. He caught his first barracuda on his first cast of the morning! We caught our fair share of barracuda, jack and snapper. We finished the day strong with my son hooking up with a nice blacktip shark. Captain Jimmy knows how/where to find the fish! We will definitely fish with him again next year.

Captain Jimmy and his mate were great. We were on mother/son outting and they great teachers for me, a novice. We told them that we’d like to catch a variety of species and hoped to snag at least one good-sized fish. We did all of that and had a great time.
