As you say he has a wealth of experience and puts in a full shift every time to get his customers on the fish. Great to see you caught some real nice table food as well as a trophy marlin fish as well - the best kind of days table food and trophy fish together. Thanks for taking the time to write a review - good or bad they are all appreciated. I find the statement the boat was a dump rather surprising. We spent $75,000 on work last year including a $25,000 gel coat paint job. You say the boat had no fish finders which is untrue as we have 2. And in fact you need to have a minimum of 1 to pass the annual inspection therefore that statement is incorrect. You say I was not very sympathetic , I don’t really understand - this must have been your summary from the 2 minute conversation we had. If you read all the other reviews on this website / platform you will find a quite opposite set of view points. My captain advised me that we raised, hooked and released sailfish on day 1 & 2 and there were more than 5 opportunities including a marlin. I appreciate your feedback but find it difficult to agree with the points you have made. I hope you enjoy the remainder of your vacation in our beautiful country Costa Rica.

Hi Brett, thank you for your review and pleased to hear that you and your son had a great day out on the ocean with Captain Gerald. You will just have to come back and do a longer charter the next time and get that sailfish!
