Party of three and Myself, my fiancée and myself 13 year old son. We left the dock at 7:30 as planned and parking was very convenient as you park right Obote the boats slip.
We left the dock and off to catch bait. Great warm up as we pick up up a dozen or so Corbina and another dozen Sea Bass.
The crew worked extremely hard and my son managed to catch a decent size grouper. We also caught 4 big Trigger fish which made for an excellent dinner and plenty of Ceviche.
The boat was very well kept with an excellent sound system. The Captain and mate knew the fishing grounds well and we fished until the absolute end of the trip.
It was a great time for all and we look forward to returning.

Excellent trip with Capt. Gabriel and his five star crew. I am an avid fisherman so my return and second time on this boat speaks in volume. The Captain and crew are determined to put in in the best position to fish. I believe that the pictures tell a story much better than how I could describe the trip.

We had a late start from the marina as the Harbor Master was in late. But once we got out Captain Gabriel and his crew got us set up quickly and had us catching. We moved a couple times but we didn’t have much lull in the action. Not sure the exact count, as we were pulling in Trigger Fish so rapidly, but we did go home with 4 large bags of fillets. The whole crew was great and attentive, kept our lines baited and continually removing fish from out hooks.

This was our first time with Captain Gabriel and it was a great trip!  The boat was nice and I’m good shape, the tackle was all in good working order and the crew was spectacular.  The fishing started off pretty slow for everybody.  Not just our boat but about 7 or 8 other boats that we encountered were also not catching much of anything.  But Captain Gabriel kept working and moving until we hit the best honey hole I’ve ever seen here in rocky point!  My daughter pulled in the biggest sea bass I’ve ever seen and we got into a school of trigger fish that were about twice the size of what we’ve seen in the last several years down here.  It was probably the best half day fishing trip we’ve ever had here in Rocky Point!  We will definitely be booking captain Gabriel in the future!
And… as a disclaimer… I have no affiliation with Captain Gabriel.  We are real customers of his charter and we live in Yuma, Arizona.  We have hired many charters here in rocky point quite a number of times over the past 15 or 16 years and I would say Captain Gabriel and his boat are probably the best we’ve ever gone with.

I recently went on my first offshore fishing trip in Rocky Point. To my surprise, I had mistakenly thought the trip was scheduled for the next day. Nonetheless, the crew kindly waited for an hour and a half for us to arrive. Captain Saul suggested that we catch bait before heading out to catch some Grouper, and that’s precisely what we did. The crew was highly professional and knowledgeable, which made the trip even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend them and plan to return for future trips.
