Deep South Fishing Charters

Key Largo, United States
25+ reviews
Capt. Ryan Booth has been fishing in South Florida since he could walk. After he scaled down his fishing activities slightly to go to school, he threw himself back into fishing on graduation. Now fishing is his main priority, and he's constantly exploring the inshore waterways around Key Largo, always learning, finding new areas, and tracking the fish down. He likes to use his experience to always try to get his clients a guaranteed catch as far as the conditions and the fish will allow. He has been guiding professionally for the last two and a half years - previously to that he liked taking people out for fundraisers and family days out, giving him the experience to now run charters full time.

Saved my hopes for getting out on the water!

    3/4 Day Trip2 adults

After bad weather cancelation and another cancelled due to engine problems. I was scrambling to get my fishing trip into our vacation. Got in contact with Ryan who happen to be launching out of islamorada that week, which was closer to where I was staying. We got out and had a blast. Ryan knew some good spots and was able to get us on fish! Thank you Ryan. I would book again!

Three-quarter day trip with Captain Ryan Booth

    3/4 Day Trip2 adults

Captain Ryan did a fantastic job, we had a tough day high pressure, clear blue sky and gusts up to 30. He did not give up and even put in a little extra time to make sure we had a good experience. I Can tell you if you want someone with the knowledge of the entire area and specifically to put you on fish in Flamingo Captain Ryan Booth is the way to go.

    Great Guide!

Full Day Trip - Inshore2 adults

Had a great day with Ryan. Flats boat is top notch. Ryan is an entertaining individual who we enjoyed visiting with during the day. He communicates about what is going on, what we needed to be doing, etc. He had options for more difficult and technical sight fishing on the flats, as well as fishing with popping corks and catching fish on every cast. We also had 4 shots at tarpon but we lost them to the mangroves. I look forward to coming back and fishing with Ryan again next spring!

3/4 day with capt. Ryan booth

Half Day Trip - Inshore2 adults

Great day out on the water. First cast and it was fish on. Then after a few pointers Ryan got me on my first salt water fish on the fly rod. Also on top water with a popper fly. The wind started picking he decided to pickup and move to another spot. Put us on some bigger snook. Ryan is a great captain did a solo trip But I felt like I was fishing with my boys back at home.

    Reported catch:
    Snook
    Speckled Trout
    Redfish
    Mangrove Snapper

    Great trip

Full Day Trip - Inshore2 adults

You know it was a great trip when you start off by losing the car keys and still end up having a great time. The Captain's knowledge of area allowed us to go to multiple spots as the tide changed. As a result we had a full day of catching a variety of species. We plan on going back and doing again, minus loosing the keys.

NASCAR wasn’t the only thing going on in

Father and son tearing up the glades! Days leading up to fishing the weather looked like it would be a blow out would have to cancel. But after waiting and talking we set out the morning we planned and we were blessed with one of the nicest days I’ve seen! Just slicked out mirror calm and the fish were chewing on everything that hit the water! Catching tons of snook and sight fishing redfish for their first time and seeing tarpon do their thing! These two had a blast and made my life easy being able to out the lures right where they needed them to be! Weather is looking great again with little wind but fishing is hot and will get even hotter as weather cools down!

Spring in glades

Mar 29, 2023 • Homestead
Another solid day of fishing in the glades. Seeing hundreds of tarpon. These dudes wore out the snook today! Some tricky fish at first then they just started eating everything! Looking forward to this tarpon season but even if we aren’t targeting tarpon the fishign for other species is just insane right now and will continue to get better and better!

Every day fishing has been solid! Redfish and snook are fired up! Sight fishing as been very fun watching fish eat in shallow water on artificial. Bait fishing has been phenomenal too! Fishing flamingo either form Everglades National park or islamorada. Contact me to get out on the water!

Cooler weather brings hot fishing!

Another great day in the glades! Rick and his son had a blast catching tons of trout, redfish and snook! We were burning through the bait! These are my favorite times of the year when the fish gather in certain areas and it’s like a feeding frenzy for the entire day until they are tired of eating!

DRAG SCREAMING DAYS AHEAD!

Jan 1, 2021 • Homestead
Fall and Winter months bring cooler weather and in turn fires up the fishing! IOn the backcountry throwing live bait and plastics we are seeing large numbers of redfish, blackdrum, snook, sheephead and trout. It is very common this time of year to have 60 fish plus days. On this day we hooked 23 black drum before 945 and a few reds and sheep head. Then went to mess around with trout. Its my favorite time of the years beside tarpon season! Contact me and lets get out on the water!
