- Captain Kurtis was born and raised in beautiful Southern Oregon and grew up fishing the Rogue and Umpqua rivers. Kurtis started his guiding career in Oregon at the age of 18 and has over 27 years experience as a full time guide. He has been guiding in Alaska from 2014 on and has recently relocated to the world-famous Kenai Peninsula to live year round in the last frontier with his wonderful wife and 2 children.
