Even though the wind didn’t help us catch many fish, my kids and I had a great time and Cpt John did his best trying to get us on fish. The equipment was very easy for my kids to use and could do it independently. We would book with Cpt John again if we ever visit the OBX again.

Fishing with Capt. John and his crew (Brad, his son) was an excellent adventure.  We were brought to the fish in the inlet. When we were curious about the near shore experience, we were brought to the fish that were stacked up over an old sunk uboat. Our main keepers were black sea bass and speckled sea trout. Other species which we caught and released were flounder, sand shark and skate.

We had a great experience with Captain John. We caught 30 pounds of ribbonfish and two sand bar sharks, which was very exciting. From start to finish We were impressed with Captain John’s extensive knowledge of the area and he tailored our trip to give us the experience we were looking for. I would highly recommend him and we look forward to seeing him next year.

Wow! Our fishing trip was amazing. We had a beautiful day on the water with Captain John who was very helpful and patient. We started our trip by catching a bunch of bait fish that helped us reel in not 1 but 2 Red Drums that were over 3 feet long! This excursion was the perfect ending to our OBX trip. Will definitely book with Captain John again.

I’m and old timer. I’ve been fishing with capts all over US. Capt John was the best of the lot. This was a special trip for me, my sons, and grandson. Capt John made it more special. His attitude and friendly nature made an enjoyable time on the water. Fishing was tough at first but capt was persistant and found us the right spot. I would recommend him highly to anyone.
