Excellent day out on the water. Nicolas was easy to contact and a pleasure to deal with.
His crew were welcoming and professional and looked after us really well.
We hooked a Marlin, but it was the one that got away.
Saw dolphins and a whale, what more could you want.
Fresh and tasty BBQ lunch of chicken and marlin with lovely salads.
Simon and Didi were great hosts, even filleting our fish!!!
Would I go again ???? In a heartbeat….

We departed right on time, Nicolas (the owner) Dede and Simon (the skippers) had well prepared the boat, the fishing equipment was all in place and ready to use, when we boarded Horizon.  The sea was quite rough, but the crew’s professionalism made us feel safe at all times.  We were soon rewarded when we entered the area where a few birds were busy flying and diving, we caught 3 Dorados of 19 lbs each.  Not even 30 minutes later, another bird display invited us to 3 big bonitos.  Dede and Simon kept searching for fish, really wanting to increase our catches for the day.  We caught a Dorado of 28 lbs, 2 more big Bonitos and a Baracuda.
Thank you Nicolas for an excellent fishing day, we believe that you have picked the best skippers available in Mauritius.  Apart from their professionalism, they are very pleasant and even find time to serve us with drinking water and cool drinks.  Horizon is in excellent condition, we look forward to our next fishing trip, which will naturally be on board Horizon.

I went out fishing on several trips on Horizon from grand baie each time we caught yellow fin tuna,darado, banito,  baracuda, and the king of sport fishing 300lbs blue marlin, the crew are always working hard to find the fish and try different location. I felt very safe on Horizon even when the sea cconditions were rough, the fishing was excellent, we also saw dolphins and massive whales. On the whole Horizon fishing trips are amazing and good value for money, I have already organised more trips on my return I was so impressed. Thank you to Nicholas and his great crew.

Great day fishing on Horizon Fishing. Very experienced crew onboard that did everything they could do to get some big catches.
No marlin but we caught 4 mahi-mahi and 4 bonito. Communication with the captain Nicholas before the trip was excellent.
Equipment on the boat is very good and well maintained.
Overall, a great day and a 5 star boat and crew. We will come back to try catching some marlin or tuna!

Horizon big game fish is fantastic I first went fishing 5years ago on this boat and every year since I have returned to Mauritius to go fishing on Horizon the team is brilliant they never stop looking for the fish and go out of there way for customers to have a great big game fishing experience, I have been out in this vessel in good weather and bad and have all ways felt safe. Even took my 80year old mum and dad out fishing, who both had an amazing day. If anybody is in Mauritius and wants to go big game fish Horizon and its team will provide I great fishing experience.
